Wehrpass and Lapland Shield medal set with award document

Small collection of medals and military service record of a driver, among others, from the 2nd Company of the 463rd Motor Transport Battalion:

Area of operation: Northern Finland, Narvik, Lapland; includes entries for all combat engagements from 1939 to April 30, 1945, as well as promotions ranging from *Gefreiter* (Lance Corporal) to *Hauptfeldwebel* (Master Sergeant). Extensive weapons training is recorded: Gew. 98, MG 13 Dreyse, MG 34, MG 42, MP 38/40, and Pistole 08. Recorded awards: War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords, War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords, and Lapland Shield (dated August 22, 1945).

Included are the KVK 2nd class with swords, KVK 1st class with swords, and the Lapland shield in the typically poorly embossed, painted aluminum textbook version.
