Reichsluftschutzbund(RLB) M36 EM/NCO Dagger 2nd.Model [E.&F.Hörster/Solingen]

Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) Model 1936 Service Dagger for Junior Leaders (1st Model): Mirror-polished, double-edged thrusting blade featuring the manufacturer's mark "E.&F.Hörster/SOLINGEN" etched on the reverse. The wide crossguard, hilt fittings, and right-facing Reichsluftschutz eagle are made of nickel-plated non-ferrous metal with a silver finish. The black ebony grip features an applied RLB star with blue enamel, and the pommel is secured by a screw. The accompanying iron scabbard retains nearly all of its original black paint; the nickel-plated throat fitting is secured at the sides by two flat-head screws. The original riveted leather hanger, complete with carrying clip/snap hook, bears the stamp "RZM M5/8" [Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid] on the reverse; the dagger also retains the original Hörster manufacturer's paper seal.
