III.Reich Hunting Deer Catcher w/Luxury Finish [Eickhorn/Solingen]

3rd Reich hunting deer catcher in a luxury version, awarded to a head forester: short piercing blade with blood groove and decorative hunting etching on both sides, the manufacturer's mark "Carl Eickhorn/SOLINGEN" on the back. The back of the blade has an elaborate oak leaf engraving, the green felt has been perfectly preserved. White, finely polished grip scales made of Trolen with gilded, applied acorns, the closed crossguard ending in a deer's leg. The gilded guard plate with an Eickhorn capercaillie depiction, the gilding of all fittings is still almost completely preserved. The associated black leather scabbard with gold-plated brass fittings, with the roaring deer depicted on the plaque. The hunting knife in its matching, attached leather carrying case with a single carrying ring, the back of which is lined with green felt, without any damage. Complete with the original wrapped portepee for head foresters, this one made of gold-plated aluminum mesh with green stripes.

Perfectly preserved & complete luxury deer catcher with barely noticeable signs of wear, very rare in this condition.
