Wehrmacht/Heer Extra Bayonet for Engineers [WKC/Solingen]

Wehrmacht/Army "Extra" Sidearm – a rare variant for combat engineers (Pioniere): manufactured without a crossguard, featuring a long carbine-style blade and the original leather buffer pad. The obverse of the blade bears an elaborate decorative etching reading "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit" (In memory of my time in service) alongside a pontoon ferry motif; the reverse bears the stamped "Ritterkopf WKC" manufacturer's logo. Nickel-plated hilt in flawless condition, with riveted Bakelite grip plates. The accompanying steel scabbard with approximately 95% of its original paintwork intact, complete with the original bayonet belt shoe made of black pressed leather.
