Weimar Republic Police Service Bayonet [WKC Ritterkopf]

Weimar Republic police sidearm in a very early version as a mountable service bayonet: Long polished blade with stamped manufacturer's mark "WKC Ritterkopf", overall length 48 cm. Nickel-silver hilt featuring decorative engraving and a crossguard displaying the Weimar eagle. Reddish-brown leather scabbard (Gendarmerie type) with matching nickel-silver fittings. Complete with the matching leather belt shoe for the bayonet, stamped on the reverse with manufacturer Berlin/1935.

Worn, but in very good condition.
