Wehrmacht/Heer M43 Standard field cap for "Jäger" (Light Infantry) enlisted men: Field cap made of field-grey Wehrmacht wool, complete with machine-stitched Bevo-weave trapezoidal national eagle and cockade, and two green wooden buttons at the front. A metal Jäger badge is sewn onto a dark green backing cloth on the side - a feature reserved exclusively for "veteran" NCO ranks (Unteroffizier and Feldwebel). The interior features a stone-grey fabric lining and stamps reading "Mützenfabrik Kornacker, Hildesheim" and size "58". A piece showing clear signs of wear.
