Assault gunner's jacket for a non-commissioned officer (NCO) of an infantry gun company within the Luftwaffe's "Hermann Göring" Division:

Standard-issue assault gunner's jacket, circa 1943, made of heavy Luftwaffe-blue wool in the cut typical of Luftwaffe Panzer or assault gunner jackets. The collar follows regulations, featuring white silk piping along the edges. Machine-sewn collar tabs with white piping and traditional aluminum skull insignia. Slip-on shoulder boards in Luftwaffe blue, featuring white silk piping and mouse-grey NCO braid. Embroidered Luftwaffe breast eagle, machine-stitched at the factory. "HERMANN GÖRING" cuff title on the right forearm—machine-embroidered version for enlisted ranks, machine-sewn. Interior features grey-blue linen lining with L.B.A. issue/size stamps and purple drawstrings. Complete with all original machine-sewn plastic and phenolic resin buttons. All insignia are original-sewn; the jacket shows light wear and remains in untouched, original condition.

White branch-of-service piping was mandated for the General Göring/HERMANN GÖRING divisions starting April 2, 1942.
